Sherpa owners got together for a winter rally at De Rust Caravan Park in the Dinokeng Reserve in June.  A lovely restful time was had by all with all the Sherpa models on show from the Sherpa Tiny to the Sherpa Tiny Rough Roader, the Rambler as well as a Wanderer.  The De Rust Caravan Park was ideal for the rally with its large open spaces and choice of shaded or sunny spots.  These Sherpa owners rallies are becoming very popular with owners meeting fellow campers, swapping ideas and getting advice.  They are happening around the country and another one will be organised once this third wave of the pandemic is over.

Sherpa Leisure manufactures and sells the unique Sherpa Tiny caravan and the Sherpa Tiny Rough Roader caravan. Small, compact and light-weight it is the perfect option for campers with a smaller towing vehicle.

One of the key benefits of buying a Sherpa is the fact that owners have the option to design the interior to their own liking.  Some owners have been asking to meet other co-owners for some time so that they can exchange ideas.  It was therefore decided to arrange a Gauteng Sherpa Rally.

The Sherpa Owners Club has organized a rally at the Klipdraai Karavaanpark in Meyerton, Gauteng from 28 February 2020 to 1 March 2020.

Marcuskraal is a wonderful campsite with lots and lots of orange trees laden with oranges. The plots are fairly level. The ablutions are spotless, modern and have a constant supply of hot water, hand soap and sanitizer. Well done Marcuskraal. It is campsite we would certainly camp at again.

It was with great excitement that we hitched up to tow out to Berg River Resort. After a long and trying two-month recovery, we were finally ready to re-join the world.

This park home is sited on a private stand within a well maintained park home estate suited to retired individuals or couples. The park is secure and surrounded by an electric fence and monitored by CCTV and armed response.

Our getaway at Natalia over the 02-04 July was an excellent weekend away. Once again a few of us arrived a day or 2 early and in the end we had 13 happy campers – a drop from our expected 18 due to various reasons.

Mountain Breeze Resort, Stellenbosch is a wonderful campsite with lots of pine trees for shade. The plots are level and no grass due to the trees but not a problem unless it really rains. There is a lovely swimming pool for the summer. The ablutions are neat, clean and have a constant supply of hot water and hand soap and sanitizer. Campers must supply their own toilet paper. All campers enjoyed this camp, just a pity the present owners lease is expiring end of June 2021. We just have to wait to see what happens to the present campsite
